  I stayed there in a small double room with one other person for a night while attending a wedding in Ballymagarvey Village which is a bit of a drive. Nice welcoming lady & porch area. My sister was nervous about the dangerous weather warning and wanted to go home after the wedding meal. Mrs Daly kindly let me cancel for one person on the day of arrival without penalty. Bedroom, basic and a bit old fashioned decorated. On the positive side it was warm despite the very cold December weather outside and the beds were firm and comfortable. We had a good nights sleep. On the negative side the on suite shower room stank to high heaven so much so it had me retching and on one stage physically getting ill. When I'm paying good money I do not anticipate having such an experience. My companion felt there was an issue with the drains. She smelt it too but breathes through her mouth so it didn't affect her as bad as it did me. In the end I couldn't bear to go into the en suite and asked the lady of the house would it be okay if I used their private bathroom because there was a bit of a smell in ours (the understatement of the century). The man of the house did give another couple a lift to the wedding which was a nice bonus and he kindly waited for us to follow. A word of warning, it can be tricky getting a taxi back in the early hours of the morning and it may require quite a wait and a bit of panic. Next morning we had breakfast in the dining room which was nicely decorated. The breakfast was average but filling enough. I had to make my own fruit salad from an apple and orange in a bowl. Despite no yogurt on view the lady of the house kindly made me some plain yogurt, Everything on the fry felt carefully measured out: 2-3 rashers, one sausage, one egg and mushrooms and beans if you wanted it. No extra sausage, no black and white pudding, no tomato, no hash browns. One felt every morsel was accounted for. If you want luxury and modernity this is definitely not the b & b for you. You'd need a strong stomach for it. Neither of us will be returning but thanks anyway for the hospitality.
